Probably you have acquired your digital satellite TV and ensured that everything is in control. All the installations have been properly made by the experts. You have invited a few friends to your house and you are watching a program on your digital TV. Suddenly, you are prompted to put a password. You start wondering, what could be wrong? Rest assured this is a normal scenario that you can handle and should be expected.
Sky digital uses a PIN code to control viewing of inappropriate content. They have set their program so that if you are watching a program rated 12 or 15 before 2000 hours or a program rated 18 before 2200 hours, you are prompted by default to enter a PIN code. Remember this are put for your own good should your child try to misuse the machine without your consent or approval. This code is 4 digits and it is told to you when signing up for the service. In most cases it is usually the last 4 digits of your viewing card which you are encouraged to change.
If you feel like you don’t need this code, you have the option to change the control options. Just disable the function. Sometimes you could have digital TV reception problems. You need to check the strength and quality of your signal. Bad signal can be if something breaks line of sight between your dish and orbiting satellite or just bad weather. If your dish is moved or has cable damage, this can also affect reception.
Good news? There are customer care services to your aid. Seek and use them and enjoy your viewing.
